I'm in the market for a high-end Combat / Utility blade, and I would like to know for those of you that have used many knives, your opinion on the CRK Pacific. I realize these opinions will probably be biased, as I am in the manufacturer forum, but I would still like to know.

I'm not planning to abuse it or anything, probably just some chopping at most. Also how does the glass breaker work? I read some dis-heartening things about the Green Beret though.

Thanks.

I think you would be happy with any CRK products. I have been using them for around 15 years (has it been that long:confused::) and I have NEVER had a problem with them. They work, take care of your tools and they will take care of you. I know all of the negative press that CRK has gotten in terms from some videos posted of a guy doing things to a knife that should not be done. To each their own I guess. There are a lot of people using the GB and the Pacific, and using them hard that have not had the problems that the man in the iron mask has had.

Give it a try, I am sure you will enjoy it. The Pacific is on my short list.

I have a Pacific and a GB, they are both nice knives and I have got some good use out of them. I can't say much bad about them at all. That said, IMO the A2 one piece knives are where it's at. I have found them to be better than the S30V fixed blades in pretty much every task I have used them for. I use the Mtnr 2 I have more than any other fixed blade infact. :)

I have a GB, MTN II and a Neil Roberts. All great knives. I trust any of them and have used my GB as a "back country" knife when hunting elk, and on a survival weekend with my wife. We used it to build the shelter we slept in.
