1st off it love this blade, it's feels very nice in hand and the balance is excellent. They did an outstanding job on rounding off the scales so there weren't any hot spots.

The Sage Coating seems to wear faster than Busse though as you can see here in the 2 photos. It's not a big deal to me as I like the coating to wear, but it's noteworthy IMO.

SR101 steel holds an edge extremely well after I did some chopping and batoning with the blade along with some cutting. I took these 2 photos to show how sharp the knife is after my testing. It still slices newspaper like nothing, this is very noteworthy as it shows how well the steel holds an edge.

Hey Ank,

Now that you've had a chance to air them both out a bit, if you HAD to pick between the Boss Street and the RMD, which one would get the nod?

Just Curious, as I didn't go for the BS once the re-release of the RMD was announced.

Thanks,

Stump

Great shots Ankerson! Looks like she's lacerating air! On a similar note, I am putting a sage NMFBM through its paces at the moment, and I am finding as well that the sage coating is much faster to wear than the black crinkle. I guess its a trade off if you like that color combo...

They are 2 totally different blades really, the Boss Street is an edc type blade with a 4.5" blade and the RMD is more of a field blade with a 5.5" blade.

Depending on use IMO, for a field blade the RMD is the one, for EDC the BS gets the nod.

I sharpened it up really good before I used it. :D

I found the Black Coating to wear faster than the Sage..

I really Like the Sage coating though on the Busses, it wears like iron from what I have seen.

It's still a process though, I will have to see as more time passes.

I EDC my RMD. I too am impressed with mine and the edge holding and quality of edge are great.
