Thoughts on the 'Tanker A'

I received my 'Tanker' today and I think it's a great little knife. Ok, it's not that little! I got mine with the serrations basically just for the novelty of it. I was wondering what purpose this knife was originally intended for? My guess is that perhaps this knife was made for tank crew members as a utility/combat knife. Although I wouldn't say it is a fighter, those serrations sure would make short work of body armor. What do you guys think?

I was kind of curious about this also. It it's an overrun then it was made at the request of someone for some reason.
