Well I've known about this knife for awhile now but never really gave it a second thought...but it was discontinued for 2013 so I'm thinking about picking one up. It will be used for light edc tasks, opening boxes, whittling sticks, and maybe some yard work. So what are your guys thoughts on it?

from what I understand its a beefier version of the kershaw talon which is also discontinued. Its a neat design though i would think of limited usefulness in an EDC role. Are there any specific areas of concern?

My main concern would be sharpening (I'll probably pick up a quality ceramic rod) other than that I just want to hear what people think about it.

I've held it before. Absolutely hated the forward facing ergos, backhand it is comfortable but that's because it's more of a fighting knife.
