Thoughts on throwing knives hip sheaths

I've been searching for a while and finding only a small handful of images of sheathes they made for their throwing knives. I'm looking for ideas or place I could even possibly buy sheathes that can hang from the hip and tie around the leg to hold multiple throwing knives. Anyone have any thoughts?

The closest thing I've seen that would possibly work for me is something like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v200/sinza/KnifeThrowersUtilityBelt.jpg

That has too many "bells and whistles" for my taste, but the idea is rather nice.

My leather working skills are non existent, so if I do end up having to make something, it would be my first, so if I cannot buy one I'd like to hear feadback from others on how they went and did theirs.

I like the idea of having a sheath for throwing knives. I think a simple pouch sheath would work with a single belt loop. Would be easier for a first project.

The utility belt is cool! Almost too cool. :p

Knife throwers usually need multiple carry, but the knives are usually pretty flat. I think a piggy back style, three for four wide would work well on the hip or mid leg? Depending on how you want to draw the knife for the throw.

An old movie comes to mind of a circus knife thrower that had a nifty bandolier style scabbard. Wish I could remember the movie. :o

well have you seen how Jack dagger has his performance gear set up? It's an interesting sheath set up.

I did a search and saw the cross draw sheaths he wears, very nice! The pair he wears for the Get Schooled vids.

Are there any other rigs?

well I was going to kydex up shoulder holster rig for my Cold Steel Sure Balance throwers. Just out of material for the moment.

A shoulder holster rig is not a bad idea at all. Plenty of space to rig up a few on each side. :) I can realistically see three or four on each side if its balanced right.

yeah the hard part is getting used to the left hand draw and throw. (I'm right handed and want to do it on stage.)
