It is only 3 miles there and back to the waterfall from the trail head. Easy hike with plenty of time to be distracted. Way too many people for my blood, but the kids had a great time.

Large road like trails, great for mountain biking!

Had to see the indian cave, ok, more like a tunnel....I was able to squeeze in for the pictures, not too good for my sinuses, too dusty.

Main feature was Paradise Falls, which is pretty good for So. Cal and within a couple miles of suburbia.

I am so excited about this Tony Bose design Swayback Jack in Chestnut. Best fit and finish of any Case slippie I own, way to go Case!

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

I am transplanted from Rancho Cucamonga. I used to take the kids up Mountain road to San Antonio Falls at Mt. Baldy, they talked about it today. I really dig the 805 area code, lots to do and closer to the beach, and alot of wilderness relatively speaking of course for living in the suburbs.

Yeah, I enjoy it up there. If you explore the area a bit you can find a few more falls along Mt. Baldy Road. Good times

I've been bitten by one of those when I was younger, not a pleasant experience. The last time I hiked that trail I ran into a couple scorpions and a rattler. Nice pics though.

Great pics. I love hiking that area, don't get out that far too often though. Paradise Falls is beautiful.

Ahoy there CJ65. Im not sure from the pics (hard to see the colors) but i would guess its the CA aligator lizard.

If it is then that sucker would bite you and attack you as well lol. After dealing with one the first time and have him go after me i had to figure out what was it. Hope that helps.

Sasha

Thanks Sasha but I do not think it is. This mystery lizard has white markings on its head by where his ears would be, and the markings are different. I have picked up up hundreds of alligator lizards as a kid, used to let them bite my earlobes and show my sister and mom just for shock value, it hurt but worth the fun.....This one is distinctively different. Maybe a different variation, I am waiting on a friend who knows alot about lizards to return my email. I could be wrong, but I have never seen an alligator lizard with these markings.
