thread title after edit IV

Maybe if I keep trying I can get something to go wrong eventually....

Edit I worked fine but maybe something will go wrong with Edit III ... or Edit IV ... or ...
 
Now I'll see if I can edit after posting a reply -- this will be Edit V if it works....
 
AHA! It didn't work after posting a reply -- see, the header of the post changed, but not the header of the thread. That's the problem! You can't edit a thread title after a reply has been posted!

Actually that makes sense -- what if I had originally titled the thread "How many of you like petting furry little beagle puppies?" got a bunch of "I love it" replies and then edited the title to "How many of you like the way Jim hogs all of Durba's production and never gives anybody else a chance at a Durba khukuri?"
