Thread Views question.

For the last few days I’ve had a pair of knives for sale to raise some cash and since its my fist time selling here I think I checked the thread every 3 or 4 minutes and noticed that at one point the views was 450 and then an hour or so later I had a reply to the thread and the view count still stood at 450.

So when a member views a thread more then one time does the system only count them once? Or does it add a view every time a member views it?
