Recently purchased a Para 2, it was "new." Anyway, it came packaged just like any other Spyderco knife, no marks, looked brand new, but today when I went to switch the clip position, I saw blue thread lock on the pivot screw... Should I be worried this isn't new? I saw on Spyderco's website that they apparently don't put threadlock on the clips, so it is easy for customers to switch the position.

Yes Spyderco uses threadloc or some variant. I take the clips off all my knives and see the blue on the ends of the screws

I ordered replacement screws for my pocketclip on my Para 2. They arrived with blue locktite on them and a small tube as well.
Amazing and prompt customer service on even this tiniest of parts. Thank you Sal and Group.

My recent Digicam has thread lock. I thought it strange that the clip was right-tip down when it arrived. I moved the clip so it is now right-tip up :) All my other spyders came right-tip up - Slysz Bowie, Techno, Delica, PPT
