Just wondering how prevalent threadlocker use is.
If you don't use it, do your screws ever come loose?
Thanks

I don’t use it. To date, I’ve never had any issues with screws backing out.
I’ve read that some folks indeed have issues with screws being loose

As I just wrote in the other thread...two large versions from February. Have not needed to apply any thread locker after many, many openings to break them in. (I don't flick, just standard thumb opening.)

I open them daily whether I carry them or not and they've been flawless.

I'd say it's totally unnecessary on a Sebenza, since it's one of the few knives that will function as intended with everything screwed down tight. The only time I use thread locker is when I have a pivot that needs to be left a bit loose to get the action tuned the way I like it.

CRK ships the newer models with it, so I reckon they suggest it's use; not sure why this is a question. I use a small dab on the pivots, once I get them just right. The only part of a CRK that has ever actually loosened on one of mine was the stop pin screw on a 21, I used the purple on that and never had an issue afterward.

I believe that the titanium and the hardware "galls" together to a degree so that on the older models it wasn't typically an issue.

I flick mine open and the pivot screw has come lose so yes. I'm pretty sure Tim said it's because the 31 stop pin doesn't have a collar like 21s had.

Due to the unique washers I don’t because I don’t want to gunk them up. I’ve never needed it on a ‘Benza.
