Here are three blades, all users, that I always wanted together. Three different steels, three different grinds, three different handle materials, and in my opinion the pinnacle knife in each of the three families. Super excited to bring the Mischief 9 (new to me) on my next camping trip.

Busse Fusion Battle Mistress in INFI with snakeskin micarta handles and corrugated bevels
Scrapyard Dogfather in SR77 with a ResC handle and high saber grind
Swamp Rat Mischief 9 in differentially hardened SR101 with black G10 and full height flat grind

A sincere thank you to Jerry and the team as well as the three awesome hogs who helped me acquire them over the years.

Is that the original coating on the FBM? In the picture, it looks more muddy than the tan they were offered with back in the day.

I had a tan and snakeskin FBM, but the original tan coating started flaking off, so I sent it in to get it recoated. They didn't have the old tan coating anymore, so I got the nearest thing, which was a muddy coating that looks pretty much like yours.

Hey John! That's the original muddy coating. it does also have a good bit of actual mud on it at this point. I picked it up from Ban 8-9 years ago in I believe unused condition. Coating has held up great though there are a couple spots on the back near the tip where it came off from batoning. In different/more light it looks a little more redish than the brownish in these pics.

Man... I’ve been beating on the same DF for ever. I’d buy another if they brought them back. Actually the DFLE is my favorite. Cleared the backyard with it this weekend
