I happened to be at a junk auction today and came across a box with three axe heads in it. they were in good shape as far as not being mushroomed or abused too much, so i bid on them and picked the three up with a bunch of other junk for 12 bucks. Any info you guys could give me on these would be great. If they are junk, i will just clean them up with a scotchbrite belt on my 2x72, but if they are worth anything and i should go another route i would not want to wreck them first.

The first has a stamp saying "RUHR" overtop of "W.GERMANY", and the other side is stamped 2 1/4.

The second has marking of "0,6" overtop of 1 1/4 it also has a makers stamp that i can not make out but have taken a couple pics of. It is a circle with what appears to be a triangle or an A inside the top of the circle, and what appears to be 2-3 letters starting with what i think is a K.

The third is also a 1 1/4 lb head but has very small markings that i can not make out or even get a decent photograph of.

Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated, and thank you in advance. I think even if they are junk i did OK for the prices.

Not junk. I think I know what two of them are but am not positive. So I will let others more qualified than me answer.
You done real good.

Thank you very much for the replies. After seeing the Hults Bruks stampings you posted, I took the head out into the sun with a magnifying glass and i am pretty much certain that is exactly what it is. Again, thank you very much for the ID and info on this one.

You're welcome. I will be hanging a 0.7 (1 1/2 lb) soon, and I'll post some pics.

All three look like fine axes. I especially like the Ruhr. Obviously made for U.S. export market with the weight in pounds not kilos.
