Just like to thank Dave for three of the nicest knives in my collection...

My first contact with Dave was about 8 years ago, I was lucky enough to stumble into a pass-around for one of his folders, the 'Carpathian'

Couldn't get over the quality and originality of this man's work...and after several years of pining finally scored an incredible hunter, complete with a beautiful sheath, both made by Dave Kelly!

This is the knife I take with me to every knife show...it is my 'ringer'; no matter what knife someone pulls out, I know I can always follow with "That's a nice one.....have you seen THIS" :D

Being unsatisfied with just one, Dave was nice enough to work on a custom order, giving the choice of blade style and scales, sending pictures along the process...

The result, which is carried and used, is also stunning

And now, a third Kelly! I was just lucky enough to just score this beauty, again with a sheath that is as noteworthy as the knife...

Gotta say, this knife came as sharp as any I've handled...just a beautiful piece with amazing hamon and perfect taper

And the three together

And still in the works....the close to legendary, multiple published Woolly Grouse

Thanks Dave, your work is impeccable!

Wow Dave really does great work and i never see much of it. Always glad to see them and dying to hold on. The ivory is that last photo is about at good as it gets. And if you look at the rear of the knife on the top side, it looks like a whale or something of the sort.

Beautiful knives across the board. Knives and sheaths are top notch. And just a super-nice guy to work with. The blade shape on that Wooly Grouse looks a lot like the one on my desk knife from Dave.

Nice ones, Michael........ I, too, am lucky enough to have a couple of Dave's extraordinary knives and sheaths........as good as it gets, IMHO.

Congrats on a fine collection of Dave's work.
