Well, I've enjoyed carrying my little one-blade Old Timer peanut so much that, when I saw these new USA Schrades on fleaBay, I grabbed 'em.

Please let me know if I have these designations correct. L to R: 104OT Minuteman, 18OT Mighty Mite, 12OT Pal.

Some great spring snap in all three of these. :thumbup: :thumbup:

YUP... You got'em right! nice little set there Guyon.

All three were made from 1991-2004 except the 18ot made from 1979-2004

1) minuteman
2)Mighty mite
3)Pal
The official schrade names.- Joel
Now you need the 108ot then you'll have all the mini's

I don't have a pic, but my father-in-law left a teeny, tiny little Schrade Old-Timer when he passed away.

It's about 2 7/8" closed. There are three blades: pen, sheepsfoot, and a standard clip point.

It was well used and loved. That clip point blade got a lot of sharpening.

It certainly looks like a member of Guyon's little team.

Yep, that's the one. I've already done some poking around.

I'll eventually track down a new USA version of said blade. I'm a sucker for a "set".

Thank goodness I never got into Beanie Babies.

Did your source happen to have a 194OT gunstock trapper? My best friend growing up had one so I thought it would be nice to get one as a sort of memento (or maybe give to him). I thought I had made a deal with a fellow forumite, but it seems to have fallen through (he won't return my emails).

In fact, he did. Just sent an email your way.

Good looking set. Congrats on it.

There you go!!! Thats why this forum is a great place! - very nice gesture stephen. - Joel

He's a stubborn fellow, that Stephen. I tried to buy the knife from him, and he'll only send it gratis. :p

As I indicated to him, I really like that I can carry one of these little guys in a small leather slip, and I hardly know it's in my pocket.

I think he actually said he wears a leather slip :eek:
Don't ya have to wear a dress with a slip ????
O.K, now we can get back to the knives. Very cool Stephan :thumbup:
Congrats on the set there Guyon. Those little Schrades are great knives

Heres an early 194OT I picked up a while back. Its a great size for edc'n even without the sheath

There was a long running joke about my leather pants in the Busse subforum. Of course, there are lots of long running jokes about leather pants in the Busse subforum. Lots of drunk people there without pants apparently. :eek:

Guyon,

Send me a PM with your address. I have a like new 108OT I'll send you. I'd love to see you have a complete set.

Stephen

Well, Stephen, a big thank you is in order.

Thank you. It will be cool to own all four mini Old Timers. Since you won't take any cash for it, I will figure out a way to pass on the karma here in Traditional.

Speaking of leather pants, that's a lot of leather for such a slim fellow as the 194OT. I didn't know they even came with a sheath.

Incomplete intelligence!!! :D

I posted over in Schrade and found out that there are a couple more.
The harder one to come by, the 106OT, I snagged in mint condition last night, so I'm over that hurdle.

The knife from Stephen arrived this week and was in perfect shape! Thanks again to Stephen.
Now, I'm looking for the 72OT two-blade Peanut (or "Dog Leg Jack") to finish off this particular group of minis.

Best I can tell, this is the complete list of Old Timer minis (all of them sub-3"):

12OT Pal; 2-7/8"; single clip blade
18OT Mighty Mite; 2-3/4"; clip - liner lock;
72OT Dog leg jack; 2-7/8"; clip, pen;
104OT Minuteman; 2-3/4"; clip, pen
106OT Grandad's; 2-3/4"; clip, pen, scissors;
108OT Junior; 2-3/4"; clip, sheepfoot, pen;

A decent list of the Old Timer models can be found here: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/schrade_knives/price_list/old_timer.php

Dare I think about the Uncle Henry sub-3" knives too. :eek:

Some of the Uncle Henry knives seem harder to find than the 106OT (Grandad's) I posted above. The UH list appears to be:

12UH Roadie- 2-5/8 in.- single blade w/Shackle;
705UH Chairman - 2-3/4" - pen blade & file blade;
706UH Gentleman Jim - 2-3/4"- clip & pen blades;
707UH Gambler - 2-3/4" - pen blade and scissors,
804UH Journeyman -2-3/4" - clip & pen blades; w/shackle;
807UH J.R.- 2 3/4" - stockman

This should give me something to do for a period of time...

I have 4 of the Mini Old Timers and 1 of the Uncle Henry minis I picked up this past spring from a guy who had a bag of NTSA confiscated knives. For $8.00 bucks a piece I could't turn them down. As usual they were of the great Schrade quality. I went back but he had sold em all.
