I wish I could afford that AK Bowie. It's incredibly rare to see them come with wood grips...especially grips as nice as those

At $100 even that AKB is a real steal so good luck with that Bladeright. I already have one with beautiful wood handles but this one was tempting at that price and without the cho. You should be very happy with it.

I have not had a chance to review it yet but I picked up the previous Ang Khola by Rajkumar with the finger grooved handle. That one was 19"/36 oz but the most amazing part was the work on the handle. The handle itself fit like it was custom made for my hand and really locks in the grip. I realize that the finger grooved handle is non-traditional however it is very nice to work with and affords a solid grip. You have to hold it in your own hand to understand. Rajkumar Kami also did a superb job in finishing the handle. The handle pins are perfectly flush with the wood handle surface and the finishing is superlative. The fullers on this one are much nicer than on my CAK too. At $100 this is a bargain if you are good at fixing the handle. Might be worth doing with epoxy or even experimenting with Cutler's resin for the repair.

On mine the wood handle is about 5-1/2" long with a 3-1/4" center to center distance for the first and last finger grooves. Despite appearing to be a similarly sized handle this one appears to have a slightly smaller 3" center to center distance on the first and last finger grooves that should work for a more average sized hand. Of course verify that with Yangdu if it matters to you.

****!!!! Man I wanted that AK bowie and it's a real good price. That Ganga Ram looks pretty awesome too though. 65 ounces? Check me if I'm wrong but aren't there 16 ounces in a pound lol? That's over 4lbs of knife! What a beast

I have a 30oz 18" Ganga ram and a 36oz 18" bone cutter and they are about perfect for heavy cutting. A four pound blade would wear your hand out fast which could become dangerous.

But I'd still like to have it for the wow factor.

18.5 inch, 30 oz Ang Khola with a finger grooved handle for $100.. That seems like a good deal to me. I might be mistaken, but the 18" models are usually between 2 to 2 1/2 lbs.. Makes it longer, and a bit lighter.. The handle shouldn't be that hard to fix, and the tip no problem. Great user.. I'm not sure if its sold, but it's hard not to send an email on that.. Wow, this HIKV has seriously taken hold of me.. Bought 4 users, and ordered a custom in the last month.. Hard to resist... I'm not going to check this site until tomorrow night, because I know I'll send an email for the AK... Enjoy your weekend..

I'm trying for the "18 inch 32 ounce Ang Khola by Rajkumar. Nice blade and sheath. The horn handle develoved a huge crack. Weekend project Knife at $60."
You never know :)
E-mail sent.

Bhakta makes a awesome AK bowie! I absolutely love mine! perfection!

this new ak bowie is amazing, the balance is alittle more tip heavy but feels lighter, the fullers are deeper, the blades with alittle wider and just a shade longer.

i have another by bhakta with standard cho and horn handle, but this one takes the cake

now in another day or so i should have a cherokee rose:D to go along with my 2 ak bowies!

I bought that one. It's about 19/32. Bigger than 9/16 but not quite 5/8. I wish I could say 5/8 but it just misses. Damn big knife though. I'll probably never find a real use for it.
