Have a great weekend!

I'll take the 20 inch 26 ounce Dharane Chitlangi by Bura. Fine Khukuri. Hairline crack in wood handle. Bargain at $75. Email on the way.

How does one go about repairing handle cracks/splits? My plan with the Chitlangi is to use super-glue because it's described as hairline, so I need something thin to penetrate. I also bought a spray can of PlastiDip (Black) last weekend, and am considering masking the brass and using it on the wood; has anyone already tried that, and if so, how did it work out for you?

If the split was larger, like the katana's I'd probably use epoxy and clamp the handle while it dries. However, I'm not sure if clamping would be the right approach or not -- it might add stress, making the handle more likely to split again.
