The blade is mirror polished hollow ground 440C high chromium stainless tool steel, hardened and tempered to Rockwell C59, and fully fileworked on the fully tapered tang. The bolsters are deep relief hand-engraved low carbon steel, dovetailed to accept the gorgeous blue-black sodalite gemstone handle. The knife has a commensurate high quality sheath, inlaid with black ostrich skin in hand-carved 9-10 oz. leather shoulder, hand-stitched with polyester sinew, lacquered and sealed.
The knife is so beautiful that the client wished for two more; one for his brother, and one for his father. Here are all three:

More information on this and many other new knives on my website. Merry Christmas!

everytime i see your knives, even the designs that don't particularly appeal me, i just drop my jaw.

really beautiful knives, i really like the bolsters on these.

That's actually a Michigan copper ore, made up of hecla, calumet, and pure copper. Polishes brightly with the nice copper flakes, pretty tough and durable, too.
