Last minute photos of three bowies for this weekend's show. The first is a W2 fighter with blued, coined damascus guard & three spacers, and a blue mild steel interframe. Pure nickel separates the spacers for a little contrast. The scales are Steller's Sea Cow bone.
This is an English style bowie with damascus fittings and fileworked nickel silver spacer. It's a damascus interframe lined with fileworked n/s. The scales are Wooly Mammoth ivory. This piece is a delivery.
Following is a boldly patterned bowie with a shell guard and African Blackwood scales. Because of the low layer count in the twists, the spine of the knife and the matching interframe show some pretty dramatic stars. The interframe is an extra piece of twist that I did not incorporate into the Turkish twist blade billet. I held it back and forged it into a hair pin shape. Then I flattenned it and it became the interframe. As a result, the stars go all the way around the handle.
Hope to see some of you there!
Cheers,
