top -- the last Sgt. Karka khukuri in the house. 15.5 inch 1.5 pound Chiruwa AK steel mounted. Excellently executed. Good hard blade with convex edge. Nice handle. 10/10 work by Sarge. Good karda and chakma. Good scabbard. Overall excellent rig. Take it home for $75 today.

center -- 18 inch 2 pound AK by Sher with all the usual Sher features. The only thing I can find wrong with this rig is the karda and chakma are horn handle and khukuri is wood. Outside of that abnormality the rig is perfect. Take it home for $75.

bottom -- one of the special orders that went wrong. Customer wanted an 18 inch overall. For some unknown reason Bura convinced everybody except the customer that the khukuri should be made with an 18 inch blade + handle. Result is 22.5 inch khukuri weighing 41 ounces. Thickness is about 1/4 inch which is what customer specified. Rig is very good. Karda and chakma a bit too small for scabbard but that's an easy fix. Take this mistake home today for an even $100 and that's an UBBB.

Email. I'm off to see the cardiologist this AM so if you don't hear back right away you'll know why. Should be back in a couple of hours today. Just planning the misery today, not actually doing anything.

Man, that bottom one is a total beauty. If they could get them to come in at 18" I'd buy one! Looks like the SGT uses the more traditional bolsters too.

Sheesh, 41 ounces sounds soooo much heavier than 2 1/2 pounds!!!!
Actually to be spot on it's 2 9/16 pounds, but that's still pretty light for a khuk that size!!!!:D

Seems to me to be more like The Foxy was supposed to be; thinner, lighter and more agile.

How do you think it'll chop? I've been spoiled by thicker khuks which are unbreakable. It seems this will pretty stout due to the longer blade which I'd think would mean more of whatever makes chopping better.

"bottom -- one of the special orders that went wrong."

! A 'stretch' AK !

 ... Interesting fuller all the way out to the tip.

If my allowance wasn't spent already..............

Then that Sher AK in the middle is a beauty.
& the wood grip looks like it's already had
a woodchuck at work on it.

...........:)

Back from cardiologist. The Bura mistake went before I left. Only one available is the 18" Sher AK.

Shoot!! :(
Whoever snagged that 15.5 inch AK, you have a buyer if you ever want to be rid of it! Nice catch! :)
