A couple of older ones and the middle one more recent.

nice patina on the middle one....apple cider?
Close. Apple juice. It was the first forced patina I did. I was looking at it as I took this picture and notice all the tiny spots from the air bubbles. So I just now got finished working over the blades with Simichrome polish. Now they are as shiny as whatever metaphor is the shiniest.

Very nice set! 6232 or 6292?
Top one is Case XX USA, no dot 6232, middle one is a 62032CV and the bottom one is the oldest, Case XX 6232

Those are great, Rob.

I know a knifemaker that has one of mine as we speak for the purpose of facilitating his possibly coming out with a custom version down the road. (Shhh, don't tell anyone. ;))

Gotta love that pattern.. I've only got a couple but I see more in my future..

With no more details than this snippet from Blues, I am going to predict something really special here. Oh man!

Well, I'd like to say that's the case, Rob, but let's just say that if the particular maker I'm alluding to decides to give it a go I'm quite sure that it'd be something very worthwhile. (imho, of course. ;))

To say that this was anywhere beyond the drawing board stages would be premature and less than accurate.

Of course I already have a beautiful rendition based on the larger 4" 6292 pattern done by Ken Coats.

Great looking knives Rob. I love the color of the bone on that bottom one.

Quote = "Now they are as shiny as whatever metaphor is the shiniest."

Shiny as a pimple on prom night?
:D

Great Jacks there Rob, Thanks for sharing. Custom one coming??? HMMMMM? Wonder who and when?

Those are great knives Thomason! I just picked up a new 6232 jack this week: it is chestnut bone with CV blades! A great combination, and if I can get the camera from my wife, I will take pics because this is some of the prettiest bone I have had from Case.

Elliott at one time Tony presented one to Case for a Collab but Case didn't want to make it if I'm not mistaken. Wish they would reconsider I really like the pattern.

Seems to me that they would have a winner on their hands. I believe (iirc) that Tony's pattern is 4 1/4" or 4 1/8" for the Texas Jack.

One of my favourite patterns.

some of mine:

left to right: Robeson, Camillus, Case CV, Sabre Monarch (made in Germany)

Nice to share pics with those who appreciate jacks.

Very good trio:thumbup:

I've only got the 'lowly' and contemporary Amber Bone version but it's an honest worker and a pleasing carry too! All Trad-ites should have one:D
