Some little modifications to my main three tools.

Extrema Ratio MF0 D Black Ruvido - Polished safety, glass breaker and pocket clip removed, new screws, thumb stud removed.
Bestech Junzi - black cerakote blade, slipjoint spring and clip.
Boker Tech Tool 5 - Plain scales and corkscrew replaced with screwdriver.

I'm pretty new to all this. Does anybody have a suggestion how to fill the hole left by the thumb stud? I'd like to find a way to attach a lanyard to the handle too.

If I were going to make a lanyard loop for the Extreme Ratio (I assume that's the knife you're referring to) I would make a rectangle out of 1/16" stainless steel and attach it using the 4 pocket clip screws. One end of the rectangle would stick out past the end of the handle and have a hole drilled in it.

It might be possible to simply drill a hole through the end of the handle somewhere, and smooth/flare out the ends, but if I didn't want to actually alter the knife itself I'd go with my first suggestion.

As far as filling the thumbstud hole, no matter what method you use it's going to be very noticeable. However, if the blade had a bare, satin finish I would recommend filling it with a section of aluminum or stainless steel rod hammered in tight, then sand the ends flush with the blade (like I did on the blade pictured below), but your blade has a black finish, and if you want to preserve it my idea won't work.

Since any method you use to fill the hole will still be visible, you might want to consider just leaving it open in case you ever change your mind about having a thumbstud.
