My son, now 25, loved the sharpfinger and Irish Apex I gave him last Christmas, so I gave him a XT7B this year. He was "flicking" it to open presents right away. I felt bad last year that he was so taken with the Apex (mostly it's Irish stamp), that I thought it was time he had an American Schrade folder. He is just hamfisted enough to be comfortable with the XT7B, and works construction, so I am sure he will give the knife a workout.

My younger son, 14 got his first Sharpfinger, as did my daughter, 14, this year. Both have shown their skill with my Ruger .243, and are ready for sheath knives of their own. I'll not dress and skin a deer, squirrel or rabbit for them again. But I will help them eat them!

textoothpk (Phil) went out of his way to help me get a bargain on the knives, and lrv (Larry) helped me sheath them. My thanks to them both! The kids are delighted to have their own hunting equipment, and I am delighted not to have to relenquish my own well-used (and loved) sharpfinger to a young "knife bearer" when they hunt.

The unfinished eBay replacement sheaths will be in the mail soon to Paul for retainer straps and finishing. You can't have too many sheaths around when you are a "sharpie pusher"!!
