three line stamp

Gday, is there a rough time line to when they went from the three line stamp on the OT's to the two.I have 61OT's with 3 line wood box and 8OT,93OT wood box but two line stamp, where should they fit in the sceme of things.Do UH's for the same era have the 2&3 line thing.

I do not believe there is a timeline Paul, or a rhyme or reason. I believe in most cases it was in 1973, when they went away from the Schrade Walden. I some cases it was a SCHRADE/N.Y. USA/### but in others it was SCHRADE/USA?###

I do believe in some Old Timers, and some of the Uncle Henry patterns since many came later than Old Timers, there was never a three line stamp. I would also guess in some cases there may have been both two and three line stamps during a same year.

In some of the Open Stock patterns, I don't think there was a SCHRADE/N.Y. USA/### stamp either.
