Seriously fine Ron! I know you've told me before how you do that snow flake thing but would you mind running it by again? That is very cool.

If I could do that, I would retire tomorrow and go full-time-b@llz-to-the-wallz.

Thanks everyone for the really nice comments about these knives.

Dave- I just use fingernail polish as a resist to paint all the little dots on the blade then just soak it in the ferric chloride acid like you do Damascus. Just takes a little longer to etch the CPM S30V but it's still quicker than trying to get all the fine scratches out of that dang stuff. It's a lot tougher than I am and I'm all for not spending weeks sanding on the same scratches that won't go away after heat treat no mater what you throw at them. This just speeds up the process and makes it much easier on me and the customers seam to like it. :) Ron

Ah-Ha !!!!!!!!! The secret is out. I too have used nail polish, but dummy me never thought about little "dots".

Thanks Ron for sharing...........Ain't these forums GOOD?

Ron, those are BEAUTIFUL. I like the first the best. Great Damascus, but I also love the etch on the last two. Never seen anything like that. Its wonderful! I love the nickle silver spacers too. Great job!

Hey, it is about time you started posting your work again. I thought you had quit.

Nice work and good to see you posting again.

Man Man Man. I like the first one but nothing wrong with the other two.
Nice handles!
