Three questions before I (attempt to) order my Waki

I'm about to order a Waki, and based on what I've read I have a few questions.

1. If this blade will definitely be used hard, is there one blade color that makes a better finish than another? I'm considering white or black.

2. Why is micarta said to be "more comfortable" than G10, and is G10 the only route for doing color combinations?

3. I'm thinking either white with black micarta, or black with tan micarta. Any opinions, comments... pics?
 
Can't wait for the WAKI!

It seems to me that the green coating and the sage wear best.
This is purely subjective though...
Some colors like tanker and Artic I have not seen used.

Canvas micarta has exposed canvas that has a grippy no slip feel to it, G10 is heavier and has a more smooth almost marble feel.

I am hot for tanker gray and tan micarta:cool::cool:
 
White is sexy. Here are some color combos. ALSO, if you can see how the g10 handles have that "shine" to them. Micarta does not have a smooth, hard surface like g10; Micarta is more grippy.

I ordered the second one from the right; sage blade and green/black g10.:thumbup::D;)

For smaller knifes I like the color combos of G-10 and the grip isn't compromised significantly. For my big chopper that are going to have some heavy swinging I like the Canvas Micarta. New WAKI - Muddy blade\ Tan Micarta handle.

You mean from the Left? Ok, its pretty easy to spot handle colors/combos, but anyone care to call out those blade colors from left to right? Is tanker gray in there? It might be a possible choice. I think white with black micarta would be sexy.
 
From left to right:

Tan micarta/white blade.
Black/green g10 and sage blade.
Red/black g10 and black blade.
tan/black g10 and sage blade.
tan/black g10 and black blade.
red/black g10 and brown (muddy) blade
tan micarta and muddy blade
tan/black g10 and tanker grey blade ( only the handle is shown).
 
Here is Tanker grey.. It's the one with the black and tan g10.

Tell me about it! I couldn't pick just one, so I ended up ordering Black, Tanker Gray, and Sage. I'll post pics when they arrive, hopefully in a few days. :D
 
Well I guess it makes no difference now... I just clicked the send button on my pre order email. Cross my fingers that it still gets in. Thanks for the support guys. I couldn't do it without you. :D

Black blade, tan micarta handle. Not high on the sexy scale, more military looking I think but still hot... idk. I think it looks really good in the first photo you posted above
 
No such thing as an 'un-sexy' Waki! Nice choice! You will love it. I should have mine tomorrow.
 
So did you guys ever receive a confirmation that your email order was placed? I'm wondering if I'll get a response at this point in the game. Hopefully I'm not too late.
