Wasn't sure which category to put this note into...So I'm putting here in General Knife Discussion. I just wanted to mention a recently acquired notable knife. The Nomad, made by Three Rivers Manufacturing. Talk about a do everything user that is small enough not to be a brick in your pocket yet large enough to really blast through stuff...and screams to be USED! I think If I could only have one knife to carry everyday and use the heck out of it, this would be the one. Check em out!

That is a great looking knife! I may have to give one a go.

Just saw their work this past weekend at Blade Show. Waiting for the new stuff later this year. Plus they're a family business that makes all their stuff from high quality materials in the USA.
Take a look if you haven't already: https://www.threeriversmfg.com/
I got my Viator yesterday. I find it beautiful with the continuous arc from handle to blade. The blade is slim and full flat ground. It came with a 15-degree edge so I used the Sharpmaker 30 degree back bevel rod position. After stropping it has the sharpest edge I have ever obtained. Murderous, as Nick Shabazz might say but with a size that will not intimidate (except me, as I know how sharp it is).

I'm overall happy with my Nomad but the thick bladestock is a tradeoff. I find myself wishing it would be a better slicer like the similar sized Dragonfly.

I love the Nomad's carbon fiber and stonewashed blade and bullet proof overbuilt construction. Kind of like the Techno.
