cant wait to get it in hand. my first custom- i had thought about a sebenza but this was way too tempting

Whoa, I really like the purple anodizing on the handles!

I bought a BEAST a while back to check out what it was all about. I ended up selling it off because I like a knife with a longer blade (3.75-4" is my sweet spot). But I was very impressed with the design, particularly the ergonomics (the low-ride clip is a nice feature, too). It felt far more comfortable in my hand than other 3" blade knives with similar blade:handle ratios, such as the Small Sebenza and the various Benchmade "Mini" models (Mini Grip, Mini Presidio, etc.). If I moved or traveled for an extended period to a place where I was limited to a 3" blade, it'd be one of my top choices (at least until I could get a custom 3" Madd Maxx ordered from Darrel Ralph!).

Also, the maker of the BEAST, Jim Allen, is a fantastic guy to deal with.

The combination of the blade size, low ride clip and blade thickness has me sending him an e-mail as we speak.

you wont regret it. he's even willing to leave the whole thing sterile, which i thought about but ended up keeping it on there (his mark)

Love mine also. The texturing on the handle is perfect, grippy without being abrasive. That purple is very cool!

Paid for it today. Jim sent me the tracking not even two hours after sending the funds.

Me too--mine's not as pretty as yours, but I'm still excited about it and can't believe I lucked into getting one. If it's as good as people say, then it's a heck of a deal.

The irony is that I only started looking for a new knife last week and just chanced into finding out about TSF 4 or 5 days ago. A couple of emails later and just like that he's sending it out.

Be sure to post an update when yours arrives--looks like Tuesday here.

Cheers,
Daniel

Congrats! That said, "The Beast?" What am I missing? It's a little folder, I expected to google and find something like the Grayman Satu.

Tactical Folder 7.25" OAL

3" blade of CPM 154 CM. Hollow ground, false top edge. .157 Thickness.

Got my first Beast from Jim Allen today. What can I say.... Well its a tank. Centered blade, very early lock up, Very tight. And Jim is a real gentleman to deal with. Looking forward to carrying it on duty.
