We got in a few village models somehow last shipment. A couple are gone. Most are the standard like the top and bottom. All have decent scabbard which look to be done by the village sarkis old shop. Pretty good but riveted frog. Kardas and chakmas on these models are generally quite ugly and if you get one that works you got lucky.

Top -- 14 inches, 18 ounces. Max thickness almost 1/2 inch. Got it close to 59 or 60 Rc. I think the handle is rosewood and nicely done. Almost certain it's a partial tang with flimsy buttcap and keeper held on by a nail. Karda and chakma ugly but useable. Good scabbard and frog. All these models are just a little too "clean" for village models and I'm guessing they were touched up to look a little better at BirGorkha.

Price even $50 delivered to your door. For whatever it's worth this is my favorite of the three.

Middle -- 11.5 inche and 8.5 ounces. Handle big enough to hand onto. Good edge, hardend to 59-60 and sharp. Good little knife. Karda and chakma throw away. Scabbard old style leather but well done. Frog good.

Price is $30.

Bottom -- 14.5 inches and one pound. Good tough knife -- blade about the same as top. Smaller handle than top but nicely done and in what I think is rosewood. Small crack, superglue fix, on handle. Usual village karda and chakma. Good scabbard and frog which look to be made from the old village sarki shop.

Take it home for $40.

Call or email.

Ah. Scanned down to the pix first thing and was surprised that they weren't as obviously 'rough' as I had expected.

I took a quick run through the FAQ, but couldn't find the pic - Was the top one in your pic a Ghopte?

Close but no cigar. I think Bura is probably responsible for the cosmetic touch up. He is still stinging.
