Here's some kitchen cutlery I've rummaged out at local thrift stores recently. Probably the best haul was $5.99 ziplock bag with 8 knives: 5 Henckels, 2 Philippe Richard, & a no name fillet. All Chinese manufactured.

I sharpen them up & gift them to friends or folks I bump into along the roads of my travels.

Back in the 90s Henckel's International Series were made in Spain. And not so bad, I still have a couple in daily use.
In the 2000s they switched to China. Interesting collection, you probably paid about what they're worth. Thanks for sharing.
 
I keep some old USA Chicago Cutlery around for shop knives, which come in handy frequently.
