Hi all,

Sorry I'm unable to post pictures. Today, I found a lil' COLOUR CUT knife for 50 Cents. I was not familiar with this knife company but, heck, for 50 cents I get to play with a BRIGHTLY colored
(flo Green) handle & blade 4" Paring knife which even includes a plastic sheath. I figured it was going to be a "made in China" product but was happy to discover "Colour Cut" is supposed to be made in Sweden. This lil' knife feels good in the hand and is pretty high quality knife (new for $10-$12.00). I think it would be a nice knife even at the new price but, ya can't beat it for fifty cents! I also found a OXO Goodgrip 4" Utility/Paring knife for fifty cents. I guess a Dollar can still buy ya something fun.

Playing with sharp cutlery for a dollar is worth the price of admission.....sweet!!!

I have the same one in the kitchen takes a razor edge and holds it pretty well.

The above is the OXO 3.5" Paring knife I also bought for fifty cents! God, I LOVE thrift shops. Both knives are in OUTSTANDING condition!
While I like the OXO (not sure where it's made) I really like the Colour Cut.

I've got one of those too, not sure where it came from though... Sometimes people just off-load their kitchen drawers on me to sharpen.

But, yeah, they don't lie... It's got a good grip.

I bought a Flint(a USA brand from the 60s-70s) paring knife with vanadium steel in good condition for 50 cents at garage sale last week.

It's nice to have a paring knife with a steel that willl hold an edge.

Hi all,

Clockman, nice find. I really like Paring Knives or Paring size knives. This Summer, I have been LIVING for Flea Markets, Garage Sales, Thrift Shops, etc. My best find thus far has been an "as new/NOS" (circa 1990's) Gransfors Bruks "Wildlife Hatchet" (with curved handle like the GB SFA). While not fifty cents, I got one HECK of a deal! I guess one of my other best finds was a "NORLUND Saddle Cruiser" doubt bit Axe in very good condition for less than ten dollars. Oooh, I also found a circa 1980's CASE XX large folding knife (I forget the model number) which included a very unique (must of been custom) Harley Davidson Black Leather studded case at price so low, I feel kind of guility. Well, I showed that CASE XX to a friend which was a mistake lol. My buddy wanted that knife really bad, so, I sold it to my buddy for half of what
(I'm pretty sure) it would of brought on the open market. That CASE was beautiful! I cleaned/polished/detailed that Knife for over an hour and it looked wicked! Come to think of it, I would NOT of had the money to buy the "Wildlife Hatchet" had I not sold the CASE XX so, I guess it all works out the way it's suppose to work out. I can't complain, it's been a good Summer so far!
