I'm an avid thrift store shopper. Once in a while you find a gem and can't leave the store without it, in this case I found three. I got all three of these Kuhn Rikon knives for a grand total of $2.47 and they all look practically brand new. Sharp as razors when I found them. I've had a few chances to use them and I must say, I'm impressed. Anyone else had luck like this? I'd like to hear from ya.

I enjoy picking them up as well.

I have a friend with only 1 very dull knife in his block. Found a Flint Vanadium wood handled knife for $2 in a thrift shop and sharpened it up and plan to give it to him. Then maybe I can steal his one existing knife and sharpen that as well. :)

I really like the old Flint Vanadium knives. Picked up an Orleans 440-A stainless knife the other day for 25 cents that reminds me of some of the Flint knives I've seen. This one is serrated and is still wicked sharp.

I haven't been to any of the thrift stores in some time. I found two Forschner knives during one trip and another time I got a Old Homestead Chef's Knife and Ceramic Honing Rod from the same set (made in Japan).
I probably gave less than $4 total.

Really jealous of the Forschners you got. My best find ever has to be the Hook Eye breaking knife i for got $1 in like-new condition. It'll go through a melon like butter.

Today was a good thrift store day. Picked up seven steak knives with wooden handles for my mother, a silver RC Co ladle, Prill wedding cake knife (made in Sheffield England) and Oneida carving fork all for $2 total. Good day.

Don't get me started! I sold over $300 online auction last month on thrift store knives. Mostly the older Chicago Cutlery. They sell like mad! 2 Henckels paring k
nives I paid .39 each brought in $18. A brand new Ecko Arrowhead butcher I got for $3 sold for $21, a nice Queen carver I got for $1 sold for $22. Of course all this went back into my Forgecraft obsession lol, and a couple of Beckers. I actually walked out of one store that the lady told me they don't sell cutlery because they're considered weapons and they go in the trash! I told her I'm more dangerous with this candlestick than you would be with a sword! And walked out hehe.
