You got robbed! I'd have talked them down to $9. Especially since that one only has 25 or 30 more years of use left in it. :p

You done real good.

Lucky dog. Nice find. I love finding Old Timers. They are the only ones that I know I can get laser sharp every time.
I just found a 104OT at my local flea market for the same price. It isn't nearly as pretty as yours though.

My 104OT is probably my most cherished knife. It was the only knife ever given to me by my grandfather.

@dipbait:
Nice score! If you want to double your money on that 34OT, let me know. ;):D

Now that's a GREAT user for $10! I keep thinking that I might stumble upon a deal like that some day.

They're still out there, and to be had at great prices. I found my 8OT at a hardware store, for dirt cheap. I don't think the bearhead trapper or muskrat will be there next year when I go on vacation.

Awesome deal! Man, I just can't understand sending money to a large Asian country that shall remain nameless to buy knives that try to look like this, when you can still find the real deal so easily.

My son got me into the thrift store shopping trips when I went with him & a friend last summer. First trip I found a Technics SL550 direct drive turntable for $25, & two Buck 110's for $2.00 apiece. Yes, I still need a turntable, over 450 vinyl's & would cost a fortune to re-invest in CD's. Buck's had some stain on the blades, have not researched as to what year they are. Now this is a weekly week-end jaunt for my wife & I to make the circuit as we say . . . :)
Be safe.

Nice score there Dipbait. Looks like it is ready for action. You got yourself a 34OT, Schrade did not make an 84. :D Those stamps are pretty small.

Thats a good lookin 104. I've never had that pattern before. I'm glad I'm not the only one that has better luck sharpening the old Schrades, than other brands.
First knife I was able to get really sharp was a 34OT.

What Hal said. Either way, its a great find. The 34OT is a terrific knife.

The next size up in Schrade stockmans is the 8OT. If you can stumble across one of those, grab it. Its bigger, but not to big. It is one of my favorite knives

Enjoy your new find. The 1095 steel that Schrade used in their knives is terrific

Man, that is a great score. Was that the only knife you saw there?

I've come to the conclusion that people around here either didn't carry knives, or they used them until they had to be thrown away. The thrift stores around here don't carry any pocket knives, and most of the knives I find in the antique stores are pretty much used up.

Hal beat me to the punch but the point is you snagged yourself quite a pocket full of sharp steel for a mere 10'r!

I love my OT. I would have picked that one up too for 10. Great score.

Nice score!

My son has been watching "Pawn Stars" and he's never been in a pawn shop before. He thinks they all are like the one in the show. He wants me to take him to a couple of them to look around. I'll be on the lookout for a find like yours.

It seems those 34s were frequently stamped heavy; I see quite a few 84OT advertised on eBay.

Nice score anyway! My very first pocketknife ever was a 34OT from my Grandfather. Those were reportedly the most popular Schrade model of their hundred year history, and therefore perhaps the singlemost popular pocketknife off all time.

:DIts an 84 OT then, my eyesite is not real good.

Stuntdouble. Ive bought several knives from that store. They dont know how to price knives real well. They sell a lot of junk knives for more than they sell good knives.
