Through holes on which handle models?

By my tally, the only Busse’s to date with openings cut all the way through the tang for weight reduction are the SLUT Duty, the SLUT Meaner, the SARGE 7 and the Anniversary SHBM. The Light Brigade handle mill-outs don't go all the way through, so not included in this group. Am I missing any models with through-tang openings other than the small slabless skeleton models?

I was thinking there was some GWs that have cut outs that were filled with wood ect. Also there was the Assault Shaker.

Yup, plus the Skeleton Key, maybe the Shiva Rex, not sure on the Culti either

Whoops, didn't see the non scale option.

So....maybe the Culti or Rex? Not sure on either though

So no other through-openings on tangs of knives with scales, other than the four I first listed, if I understand the responses so far?

Basically the SLUT treatment, which was also employed on the SARGE 7 and apparently on the Anniversary SHBM, is what I'm asking about.

Thanks guys,
Will

I thought someone said recently that the anniversary SHBM had a Light Brigade treatment. Of course, I've been known to be quite wrong....

I thought it was a Light Brigade as well;

This is the LBNMSHBM.

The clip is not sharpenable. It simply aids in penetration and offers a little weight reduction at the tip for a slightly faster blade. . . . .

It is killer cool ! ! ! ! !

I don't know for a fact that the through holes on the Anniversary SHBM have the same configuration as on the SLUTs and the SARGE, but from Jerry's description I'm assuming they're alike. I love the result on the SLUT Street and the balance/weight of the SARGE really impresses me--hoping from Jerry's description that the Anniversary SHBM is in that class. If so, the balance should be amazing.

The purpose of this thread was to find out if I'd missed anything with this handle treatment. To me, it's a very significant and interesting evolution--one I'd like to see more examples of.

I am with you Will. I love my SLUTS. :p It is amazing how much a blade can change with some through holes in the handle.

KZ2 has holes under slabs to lighten its rear.

Boy I'd like to see a pic of the tang.

Me too, bro'. Hopefully one of these days...

Ordered my SHBM on faith, just because Jerry has done so much research on handles and has refined them to such a degree--don't mind at all taking this one on faith based on what he decided was the best result. But would love to see that tang revealed.

The War Boars were skeletonized under the scales

I heard Stories told by Jerry and Dave of Police Recruits sold in Tennessee with Canvas Micarta slabs, sold to Turkey Hunters.
