Throwing a CS Viking Hand axe

Anyone tried throwing one of these. Is it to heavy? Will it hold up to the abus. Would it be throwable with a shorter handle?

The Viking hand axe is lighter than the rifleman's hawk and probably others, it isn't heavy because it is actually pretty thin in the blade. I imagine it would throw very well but may not hold up over time because of the thin bit. The Norse hawk would probably be a better choice for repeated throwing. I did shorten the handle on mine because the full handle length was a bit excessive. I have not had a chance to play with mine yet.
