Hello everyone i have been throwing for a couple years now and have used 2x6 boards, i'm starting a throwing club and may get some newbe's that want a softer target to throw at, i cant get enough card board so i'm thinking cork board or something like that but still cost effective, any help would be appreciated.

Stick with wood. The lighter duty stuff you listed won't hold up for long before it's torn to shreds. Best idea I heard is a 4'x4' square of 2x4s backed with plywood, and hooked to legs. If people can't stick aknife in a 2x4, they need to learn to throw harder.

Your right i have tried softer targets and after a couple hours they're done but my knives are 10+ inches and most new throwers use smaller and lighter knives causing less damage end result is still the same. Thanks for your reply
