Ive been thinking about a wrist sheath for throwing knives so that when u flick ur wrist a knife either springs into ur hand or slips. Another use for the springing wrist sheath would be for self defense. Put ur hand on ur attacker’s neck flick ur wrist and a knife shoots out. It would only work if u knew where ur attacker’s arteries were and it would help if u had incapacitated them.

I'd check your state and local laws concerning the spring loaded knife idea, it could very well be construed as either a ballistic knife (federal offense on that one) or an automatic knife, or both. Its up to the discretion of the court.

The standard wrist sheaths I have seen were either sold as ninja cheap stuff, or very high end spyware. Little things like this were very popular during the cold war.

Well it’s definitely illegal in Massachusetts. But something that slips a throwing knife into ur hand would be a shock. My inspiration was actually a tv show my brothers watch, but I saw logic in the idea

I think wrist sheaths only exist in fiction. It's hard to conceive of one that wouldn't require some sort of securing mechanism, which would pretty well defeat the purpose.

This feels like a bad idea. A knife that shoots out from under your sleeve and into your hand. you'd need some sort of safety mechanism to avoid accidentally deploying it. Wrist mounted sheaths themselves seem viable, but not with a spring.

Bmj246,

That last part would get one charged with premeditated murder pretty much anywhere.

Since even the drop into the hand thing is probably illegal in your state, and definitely illegal at the age stated in your profile, I think I'm gonna just lock this.
