Throwing knives in disguise?

Hi-

Does anyone know of some low to moderately priced throwing knives that retain some actual knife functionality, and aren't obviously throwing knives at first glance?

Perhaps instead of looking for throwers that look/work like regular knives, you'd be better off looking for regular knives that can be thrown. I had a Spec-Plus SP1 that threw 1000s of times a couple summers ago and it worker pretty well.
Most throwing knives that I'm aware of look like throwing knives. Maybe some of those Gil Hibben throwers resemble regular knives without scales.

Why do you need to disguise your throwing knives, if you don't mind me asking?

Muahahahaa. :D

I don't need to. I'd just like a throwing knife/ knives that can actually be used like a regular little fixed blade knife and that maybe I could carry around a bit without it looking like a weapon. I throw knives for fun sometimes and studiously avoid putting anyone at risk doing so (including myself  ) haha

I haven't thrown them, but some neck knives might fit the bill. I wonder if an Izula II would work...

a couple mora clippers will do you quite well for both uses. ive also heard some people tossing some of the new CS folders with the triad lock if thats your fancy

I've thrown a MOP inlay DDR custom DLC 4" Stiletto Maxx in D2. Only at short distances like 6' holding it by the handle. I'd wave draw rearward and throw it overhand. The balance was perfect. Lost that knife at Ft. Campbell, not from throwing. At that range, most people should be able to stick a tree.

Nothing wrong with the Cold Steel GI Tanto or True Flight Thower..
My GI Tanto throws like butter... 1055 steel and it's dirt cheap.. It may
be a tanto, but it's still a great knife for the money and will do many knifley
duties with ease, not to mention it's easy to sharpen...:)

Almost any of the six-to-seven inch bayonets throw really well and they don't cut too shabbily either.A few years ago Cheaper Than Dirt was selling some old mauser bayonets fairly cheaply and you can still find them if you scrounge around pawn shops and such.
