Throwing stars

Recently, I've had a desire to buy a few "throwing stars" or shaken ,as I understand is the correct term, to play with but don't know where to start. First, is there such a thing as a good mass produced throwing star? I'm expecting the answer to be no, so how about the cheap ones? There are some in Smokey Mountain Knife Works and similar catalogs that actually appear to have beveled edges for around $6. Any good?

Stu, I have several different styles that I have gotten from smokey. They are all pretty good, nice weight to them, and solid, most are of 440s.
