Who has Compared the Thru Hardened Battle Rat to the Diff Tempered Battle Rat?

If I am not mistaken these were HRc of 60-62 while the std ones were 60 with much less at spine.

Hi Cobalt,

You are right, the standard Battle Rats were about 50rc at the spine and 60-62 at the edge. I would guess that the difference would be noticable. I'm anxious to read a comparison as well. :D

how can I tell if I have a Thru Hardened Battle Rat or the Diff Tempered Battle Rat? I have a tan handled, black crinkle coated with logo Battle Rat that I bought second hand. Just wondering.

I thought the edges were tempered @ 59-60? where does it say 60-62?

You're right. I was going by memory, which is dangerous. :D

Hi Howlin Wolf!

The thru hardened Battle Rats are the ones released with the black crinke/tan handle. The differentially tempered versions are either tan/tan, black/black, or satin finished with black or tan handles.
