Thrunite TN12 problem.

I recently bought my first decent flashlight. Before this I had only owned cheap lights. I got the Thrunite TN12 and it was awesome for first couple days but now I'm having a problem.. the light has 5 modes and today I cannot access the brightest two modes. When I push the button to cycle through the modes it seems to get stuck at "low". The next two button presses do nothing to the brightness and then it starts the cycle over again. Is it possible this is battery related? I am using two CR123 and it has been used a fair amount since I got it on Monday. Wouldn't think the batteries would be going bad already but not really familiar with these types of lights or batteries.

Why not just try a new set of batteries. Sounds like the flashlight locks out the higher power modes as your batteries get weaker.

If you're using cheapie Chinese 123 batteries....don't. My Surefire lights hate them (low lamp brightness, short battery lifespan). You can get a dozen Surefire 123 batteries for about $2 each online.

I'm actually using surefire batteries. They were at lowes for $5 with
which was less than half the price of energizers so I wasn't sure of their quality. I do intend to try new batteries but figured I would ask here first so I don't go spend $5 for new batteries if I don't need them. I am going to be ordering some 18650s and only bought the 123s to use the light until they get here so I really didn't want to buy another pack if the light is going to need to be sent back anyways.
