Thumb Disc problem

I just installed a bullet thumb disc on my CQC15 and looks like I stripped the threads. Can I put some loctite in there to fix that problem? I was going to go ahead and do it, but wanted to get some feedback first to see if there is a better way. Thanks!

Stripped on the screw or in the blade? You can get replacement screws from Emerson. I would bet it's the screw.

My guess is that the screw stripped. Loctite would be ill advised IMO. It could hold the stripped out screw in but will also hinder installation of a new screw being that it would be difficult to clean out the Loctite for a new screw down the road. My suggestion would be to find a hardware store that sells machine screws in the 2/56 size screw in a 5/32" length or close to that. My .02:D

I fixed it! Thanks! One more question! How do you fix a sticky liner lock? I've got a mini commander that is really hard to disengage.

If it is the screw and someone can confirm that a handle screw from a standoff model will work for the thumb disk I have a couple and would send you one.

Either graphite from a pencil or a Sharpie. I've had better results with the Sharpie method personally.

The screws for the standoffs are too long for standard thickness thumbdisc use unless a longer one is needed for fitting some taller bullet disc.

I had a stripped screw on my new 7aw. The threads in the blade were perfect still
