Thumb Ramp- Keep or Remove?

I am tempted to remove the thumb ramp on my BK-7. When choking up on the blade my thumb seems to land right at the peak of it.

What do you guys think? Get rid of it or keep it?

If you have removed one did you like it better without it?

Anyone have pictures with the ramp removed?

Cool thanks. I think I kind of like the look without better. I also like those wood grips. Did you make them?

I also like the finish on the de-ramped 7. How did you do it?

The scales are tommythewho's work (ebay bk2 you'll find them) as far as the finish i gun blued it and sanded it a couple days later.if you deramp your 7, i suggest to round the spine a bit as well...have fun
 
Thanks guys. I went out the shop and ground off the thumb ramp. Looks super cool not. I will add pics in a moment.
