Curious about the answer to this. From Bark River and their Bravo 1 it says to put your thumb over the ramp, but on a BK7,9,10 is that even possible?

I like the look of the thumb ramp on the Beckers, but the ramp is much bigger than what is on the Bravo's

thoughts?

its possible. i think the different positions is for where most of the down force is focused. on the top there is force on the tip and more of like a back draggin cut, on the back more of the cutting force seems to focus at the back of the belly for more of a downward push cut. Its even easier to do the thumb over ramp position with a custom choil added

If BRKT wanted the thumb to be in front of the knife ramp, why is the jimping on the backside ?? looks ?

Because what is comfortable for one, is not, for all. I personally feel that any knife that could be used in a "choke up" fashion, should have jimping that goes halfway down the blade, (depending on it's size-maybe more if it is a smaller knife), to allow for a good comfortable grip, for many different tasks & different sized hands/thumbs. The BUCK "PakLite Large Skinner" (item#BU3543) at SMKW, is a perfect example of how jimping should be, IMHO anyway.

answer me this, did the BK2 EVER have a thumb ramp? if so does anyone have a picture of it?

Bladite? Guyon? Moose?

Nope, it didn't.

I like thumb ramps, I usually put my thumb in front also, the thumb on the backside of the ramp is more suitable for fighting IMO.

Nope, never did. The only ones with the thumb ramp, are the 7, 9, and 10. Those were the ones that were up for military consideration for a contract for issued equipment. Gubment says has to have a thumbramp, to be considered.
