Thumb stud for LT?

Why not. The slim is a great pocket carry and one handed open and with practice close too. Before it i carried the 110 or 112 LT on in the sheath. A thumb stud would make it perfect. An after market add on probably would double the LT’s weight lol

Those are nicer than the generic ones on Amazon but the slim studs are smaller still and i think Buck could put them on future LT's

I will possibly order some when i order my 124 in a few weeks time for my existing LT's. Thanks DN

It seems like the difference is that the Buck 110 slim uses the Rival blades and the 110 LT uses traditional 110 blades. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You are not wrong. I will add those buck offered studs to my LT’s but doubt i will add any to my original 110 or 112’s but i will see as im mostly traditional with a little contemporary mixed in for fun

I guess I have the KWIK THUMB STUD™ made in USA, they work. They might accelerate the blade play 110's get after awhile depending on the lateral force applied while opening it.

All good was just asking what y’all thought of Buck modifiying the LT’s by producing them with a thumb stud? So you can one handedly remove from sheath and deploy blade while still picking your nose? DN

Given the choice, I like thumb studs. But I like some better than others.

These were used early on by Buck and are my favorite.

I am not a fan of what they use currently. I typically use a file to modify them if I am going to carry the knife.

I have not tried the aftermarket thumb studs yet. I will one day...

Figured factory was a hole in the blade design and aftermarket was clamp style mounted. Just newd as snall as the ones on the slims but will see what is available?

I think the slims should definitely have thumb studs? Inless Canada has a law against it?
My understanding is that certain gov't deparments in Canada have implemented some conflicting policies regarding knives at the moment. It's legal to own thumb stud knives but not to import them, so new knives with them can't get into the country.

I've tried the KWIK screw on studs and hated them. Tore up my thumb bad and got in the way of cutting, the untextured side with the screw was better but you still get that edge going into your thumb.
