Thumb stud on a ZT 801

Anyone try putting one on? My uncle would like a thumb stud on his 801 and I'm trying to figure out what's available in the market place so that he doesn't have to resort to drilling the blade. Any ideas? Thanks!

Odds are a thumb studd wouldn't work well. The 0801 has a very strong detent which makes it flip great but would make a thumb stud hard to use. Lots of people complained about the detent on the 0550 being to stiff so zt took measures to soften it. Basically it simply wouldn't work well

Not a good idea. It can be done, but it would be a lot of work to add a thumbstud, soften the detent, and I would grind of the flipper.
