Thumb Stud Removal

I need to remove the thumb stud from my small sebenza. Is it pressed in, or threaded? My son is a machinist and can take care of it no problem, but I just want to make sure we are trying the right thing.

they say it's press fit.

edit: I would get an official response though, something like that could have changed and you wouldn't want to strip off the threads on the stud.

They are press fitted in with loctite. Saw it done in the CRK Dvds.

Doesn't CRK say that when they remove the thumb stud the process ruins them?

Whatcha got going on that you have to remove the thumbstud? Are you polishing the blade?

Thats what they said on the DVD, Excellent DVD by the way, every CRK fan should own it. Answers alot of questions !

I have pressed out the thumb studs on Sebs before and they always go back in so it dosn't destroy the stud in my experience.
