Anyone else have this problem? My thumb is getting raw from from the thousands of flicks from my 940-1. I love this knife lol.

It looks like you're using the thumbstuds, exclusively. Now start practicing the art of pinching the axis lock and using wrist action only to open and close it.

They are fun to snap open, and closed :D

Yep, happens every time I get a new thumb-stud opening knife especially, and then it calluses over entirely and usually that's the end of the issue.

Sometimes if the thumb-stud is a little too aggressive though, it will eventually start completely peeling the skin off of the tip of my thumb...and that's when you know you have a problem and need to find a knife that has a different opening method for a little while ;) :D

Why not try pushing against the side of the blade? Also, you can unscrew the thumb stud & put a cable tie through it (makes a wave feature). Might be a good idea to do that, since you can open it very quickly at need & then also open it like a regular folder.

(They are Swingline Extra Large Rubber Finger Tips...an office supply, you sicko. Way back when, offices weren't paperless, you whippersnappers. And if you had to count a couple hundred sheets of paper, and didn't want to lick you thumb about a million times, you slapped one of these suckers on the ol' thumb and you were a paper-counting animal!)

You should start worrying when your thumb studs start to wear down, that's when you know you have a problem.
