can the thumb stud on a cs ti lite be unscrewed and switched to a lefty?.some sites say thumb studs but i only see one{which is right handed?

it looks like it can be unscrewed in this picture (from cold steels site) but there doesnt appear to be a cut out in the handle where it would fit.

The zytel handle could be ground down pretty easily so the thumb stud could fit. I ground down some of the zytel in the right handed side to leave more room for the thumb stud and increase deployment speed. It worked really well and is very fast now.

Yeah, you could do this. You'd also have to grind down a nice notch in the liner, right where you put your thumb to disengage it, though.

Grinding it down will hit the thumb release for the liner lock as posted above, and that will not be too comfortable. This knife does wave open you know. It can also be opened by using the wave/flipper instead of the the thumb stud. My son is a lefty and can do both ways.

im a lefty and i got the ti lite. i just took off the pocket clip and the screw on the end and added a lanyard. i wave it off my pocket, or you can use the flipper on the back. also, you can use the "wave part" as a makeshift thumbstud
