Thumblug on the opposite side?

Hello, I would like to know one thing... I am lefty and I got right-handed Large Classic Sebenza with single thumbstud. I don´t mind the closing but I feel uncomfortable when opening the knife.

Is it possible to "switch" the thumbslug to the opposite side? I mean, is the thumblug removable - could I just pull it out and put back on the opposite side (the side where is the clip)?

Does the thumblug have screw or is it just pressed into the blade?

Thanks for answers!

The thumb studs are pressed in and not that hard to remove. Don't start hammering at it with a punch or anything though. Use a press or vice with a jig made for such an occasion. The other and perhaps best option is to send it in to CRK for a double thumb stud.

I've heard that removing a thumb stud destroys the press fit and renders the stud useless. As Haze said, your best option would be to send it in to CRK.

Thanks!

It was just a thought, I don´t know what I´m going to do yet. Send it to CRK might be good choice.

CRK doesn't re-use removed lugs for that reason.

Best option for changes would always be CRK.:thumbup:

^^^ That.

But if I were going to do this, I'd put it back in with black (yes, black) Loctite or equivalent. It will be there more or less forever, which in this case will be a good thing.

I know this may not be practical but if you are a lefty you would really like a left hand dedicated folder that CRK makes.
