Those are fantastic. I may have to patronize the folks at Cuscadi, especially if I get candy.

Very nice. The folks at Cuscadi do some excellent work and Luke is a pleasure to do business with. My set of contoured, bead blasted, cf micarta scales have turned my Ritter mini into my favorite knife. That is of course until I get home from work today and open up my new 730-1202 Ares in m390...

Those are GORGEOUS! I'm always a fan of mods to knives that improve BOTH function and form. Much better than those ugly "wave" customizations you see everywhere. That's both beautiful and (arguably) more functional than the original.

I just put in an order for cuscadi scales for the mini-grip, I specifically asked for contoured carbon fiber so we'll see how they turn out. I carried a mini grip for years but gave it away several years back because I started carrying g-10 knives like the Kershaw Skyline. I can't wait to get back to the mini-grip platform; I just today received my D2 mini grip from a forum trade for $50. The pocket clip paint is worn and one of the scales is cracked which I think is why it was so cheap, but the blade is 100% pristine (including the coating) which for me is ideal as I'm replacing the clip and scales anyways. The axis lock is smooth as butter. I've been carrying a Spyderco Para-military 2 and Sage 1 recently and while I think that bang-for-the-buck they are the best knives out there, they still don't feel as nice as an axis-lock griptilian.

I'm adding a $7 pocket clip from usaknives and the cuscadi carbon fiber scales. The whole project should be about $160 including shipping for all components. For that price I could get a 943 (which I also used to carry) but the mini-grip is even better IMHO.

Can't wait to finish my project!

Yeah, Cuscadi is incredible. I plan on getting a couple more sets of scales from them soon.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys! I'm considering getting a full size ritter now and add some scales... oh boy

I ordered the pocket clip yesterday, so we think alike on this one :D

And funny you should mention the 943. I actually just traded mine. Its a great knife with a lot of blade for how slim it is, but the mini grip with the cf just feels so much more solid to me. It kicked the 943 out of my pocket the moment the scales arrived.
